چکیده

LL-37, an active form of human cathelicidin exhibits various effects on immunity and inflammation, such as induction inflammatory cells angiogenesis in addition to its antimicrobial activity. Involvement LL-37 the pathogenesis several skin diseases psoriasis rosacea has been described. To search for association other diseases, we focused scleroderma dermatomyositis. Previously, it shown that is increased scleroderma, mainly dermal small vessels fibroblasts, less reported lesions We examined expression lesional patients with dermatomyositis using immunohistochemical staining. Compared healthy controls, showed especially vessels, previously reported. In dermatomyositis, was expressed infiltrating neutrophils well whole epidermis except stratum corneum. Subcutaneous administration wild-type mice caused vasodilation, edema, cell infiltration from dermis subcutis, necrosis muscle tissue. Furthermore, analyzed Cramp, murine orthologue angiogenesis, vascular permeability, inflammation fibrosis a mouse model bleomycin interfering RNA (siRNA) against Cramp. this report, differential localization explored role scleroderma.

Genotype and phenotype of COVID-19: Their roles in pathogenesis

COVID-19 is a novel coronavirus with an outbreak of unusual viral pneumonia in Wuhan, China, and then pandemic. Based on its phylogenetic relationships and genomic structures the COVID-19 belongs to genera Betacoronavirus. Human Betacoronaviruses (SARS-CoV-2, SARS-CoV, and MERS-CoV) have many similarities, but also have differences in their genomic and phenotypic structure that can influence th...

Pathogenesis of Scleroderma

The term "scleroderma" traditionally has been uti l ized to describe the cutaneous changes of a heterogeneous group of disorders involving hardening, tightening, and decreased elasticity of the skin.' Two extreme forms have been identified-localized and diffuse. Multifunctional roles of human cathelicidin (LL-37) at the ocular surface.

PURPOSE The goals of this study were to examine the expression of the antimicrobial peptide LL-37 in the corneal epithelium during wound healing and to investigate whether LL-37 stimulates human corneal epithelial cell (HCEC) migration, proliferation, and cytokine production. METHODS Expression of LL-37 was determined by RT-PCR and immunostaining in tissue sections and HCECs scraped from corn...

Roles of Dermcidin, Salusin-α, Salusin-β and TNF-α in the Pathogenesis of Human Brucellosis

Background:Brucella spp. are facultative intracellular pathogens that can cause chronic infections in many tissues and organs. Objectives: To investigate serum dermcidin, salusin-alpha, salusin-beta and TNF-alpha levels and their correlation with each other in patients with acute brucellosis. Methods: From 50 patients hospitalized upon...

Pathogenesis of scleroderma (systemic sclerosis).

Increasing interest in the vascular features of scleroderma has led to the hypothesis that the blood vessel is the major target tissue and that the endothelial cell is the principal cell target. Useful observations stemming from the vascular hypothesis include the use of microvascular abnormalities in the early detection of the patient destined to develop classical scleroderma, the discovery of...
